A delegation led by Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Mass Mobilization Trương Thị Mai visited Dai Tue pagoda in Nghe An province’ Nam Dan district on August 14th.
Joining the visiting delegation were General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Nguyễn Thế Kỷ and Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Văn Thông.
During the visiting, Chairwoman Trương Thị Mai who is a member of the Politburo and the delegation’s members offered insence to the Buddha and had exchanges with the pagoda Abbot about the history of the pagoda as well as its construction process and embellishment.
Dai Tue is the only pagoda receiving four records of the Vietnam Record Association for it’s built on a mountain with the largest artificial lake, has the largest number of ruby statues, keeps the largest number of statues made by monolithic strawberry wood, and preserves the highest number of parallel sentences written in purely Vietnamese./.
