On June 1, Deputy Secretary of Ninh Thuan provincial Party Committee Nguyễn Bắc Việt led a delegation to visit the Dignitaries Council of Bani Islamic Community in Phuoc Hai commune, Ninh Phuoc district on occasion of the Ramuwan New Year festival of Cham ethnic people.
Joining the delegation included representatives from the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization and Committee for Religious Affairs.
Imam Vice Chairman of the Dignitaries Council Từ Công Dư welcomed the delegation.
Speaking at the reception, Deputy Secretary Nguyễn Bắc Việt extended best wishes to dignitaries and followers of the Cham Islamic community on occasion of Ramuwan festival. He took the chance to share the successful election for deputies of the 14th National Assembly and People’s Councils for the 2016-2021 tenure, having positive contributions by Cham community.
He also asked the Dignitaries Council to continue improving the spiritual and material life of followers and making practical contributions to the social-economic development in the locality.
