Ninh Thuan provincial authorities leader extends Buddha Birthday greetings to local Buddhists

On May 14-15, Chairman of Ninh Thuan provincial People’s Committee Lưu Xuân Vĩnh led a delegation to visit and extend greetings to local Buddhist dignitaries on occasion of the Buddha Birthday Festival 2016 – B.E 2560.
The delegation met with Superior Nun Vice Chairwoman of the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee Thích Nữ Diệu Tâm, Venerable Vice Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee Thích Thanh Huệ, Nun Abbess of Ngoc Ninh pagoda Thích Nữ Liên Lý, Venerable Head of Phan Rang – Thap Cham city VBS Executive Board Thích Thông Tánh, Venerable Deputy Head of Phan Rang – Thap Cham city VBS Executive Board Thích Nguyên Kính, Venerable Abbot of Phuoc Hue Pagoda Thích Nguyên Huấn and Venerable Abbot of Long Hung Pagoda Thích Pháp Quang.
At visiting places, Chairman Lưu Xuân Vĩnh extended best wishes to local Buddhist dignitaries and followers on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2016. He also called on Buddhist dignitaries to further encourage Buddhist followers to proactively take part in local movements for social-economic development in the locality.
