The Military Command of Ninh Thuan province organized adefense knowledge training for 40 monks and nuns of the Buddhist immediate class in the province on Feb. 1.
Attending the event were Colonel Trần Văn Quang, Deputy Political Commissar of the provincial Military Command and Most Venerable Thích Thạnh Thể, Member of the VBS Executive Council, Chairman of the provincial VBS Executive Committee.
At the training course, Colonel Trần Văn Quang briefed about the current situation of Vietnam’s seas and islands; views, guidelines and policies of the Party and State on issues relating the national sovereignty over Vietnam’s seas and islands. The training contributed to enhance Buddhists understanding on responsibilities in protecting national sovereignty over Vietnam’s seas and islands and consolidate the great national unity bloc for the national construction and defense.
