Vice Chairman of Nghe An provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee Võ Văn Tiến led a delegation to visit several Buddhist pagodas in the province, on occasion of Buddha’s Birthday Festival 2016 (B.E. 2560).
At visiting pagodas in districts of Quynh Luu and Yen Thanh, the delegation extended congratulatory greetings to pagodas’ abbots as well as Buddhist dignitaries and followers on occasion of Vesak 2016. The delegation also praised the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha’s (VBS) Executive Committee and the district-level VBS Executive Board for their contributions in encouraging Buddhists to well implement policies and laws of the State.
The delegation also urged Buddhist dignitaries and followers to participate in movements launched by local authorities for the socio-economic development in the locality.
