Nghe An provincial People’s Committee held a conference on July 18 to review State governance on religious affairs in the first six months 2016 and map out working tasks for the last six months.
The conference was presided over by Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Lê Xuân Đại and attended by representatives of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Lê Xuân Đại urged the provincial Religious Committee to focus on key tasks in the last six months for ensuring effective implementation of State policies and laws on religion and improving local cadres’ knowledge and professional skills on the State administration on religious affairs.
On this occasion, representative of the provincial People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to five group and fourteen individuals for their contributions to the State administration on religious affairs in 2015, as well as handed over certificates of merit to five groups and seven individuals for their achievements in religious affairs in the first six months of 2016.
