On October 7, 2014, the Nghe An province People’s Committee hold a religious affairs training conference for local officials who are Secretaries of Party Committees and Chairmen of People's Committees of the communes, wards or towns having large numbers of religious residents in the province.
Joining the conference were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Thanh Xuân, Senior Lecturer of Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Mr. Thái Văn Hằng, Vice-Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and representatives from local authorities.
The conference aimed to raise awareness of state administrations on religion for participants with contents including the Party's policy on religion; State administration on religious activities, the Land Law 2013, guidelines and solutions to for religious land issues…

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Thái Văn Hằng briefed religious situation in the locality over the past times and expressed his hope that participants will later apply religious policies and laws to practical situations in the locality accordingly, contributing to stability and socio – economic development in the locality.
