The Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) in collaboration with Nghe An provincial People’s Committee held a meeting on July 13 for dissemination of state’s policies and laws to 100 dignitaries, religious and followers in the locality.

At the meeting, participants learnt viewpoints, policies and laws of the Party and State on belief, religion and law on religion-related housing and land. The conference also created an opportunity for discussion and dialogue on numbers of practical issues as well as matters relating to the implementation of the legal documents and state administration on religious affairs in the locality.

Nghe An province is home to about 4,000 Buddhists and 26,000 Catholics with about 40 pagodas and 365 Catholic worshipping establishments.
