50 religious dignitaries  representing religions of Buddhism, Catholism, sects of Caodaism and Protestant churches in the locality attended the event.

Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman of the provincial People Committee Đặng Ngọc Dũng praised dignitaries and believers of local religions for their contributions to the socio-economic development of the province over the past years, especially the active engagement in social movements launched by local

The religious dignitaries took the chance to thank the provincial authorities for the support and favorable creations extended to dignitaries and believers of religions in the province and hoped that Quang Ngai province authorities at all levels would continue to pay due attention to legitimate needs of religious believers and organizations, such as religious land and the establishment of religious sub-organizations and religious practices. On this occasion, they also exchanged with local authorities on practical issues and recommended the provincial government to take measures for best use of  the potential of natural and human resources in the province.

Ahead of Lunar New Year, representatives of Quang Ngai province authorities extended best wishes and presented Tet gifts to participating leaders of religions at the meeting.
