National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children extends Vesak greetings to VBS

On May 17, Chairwoman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children Nguyễn Thanh Hải led a delegation to visit the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Council at Quan Su Pagoda in Hanoi on occasion of the Buddha Birthday Festival 2016 – B.E. 2560.
Most Venerable Vice Chairman of the VBS Executive Council Thích Thanh Nhiễu welcomed the delegation.
During the visiting reception, Chairwoman Nguyễn Thanh Hải extended best wishes to VBS Executive Council, monks, nuns and followers on occasion of the Buddha Birthday Festival 2016. She also called on the VBS, together with authorities and other religious organizations to make practical contributions in improving the legal system in the country, as well as disseminate State laws to Buddhist followers and help educate the country’s youth.
