Minister of Public Security To Lam led a delegation to visit to Bishop Cosme Hoàng Văn Đạt of Bac Ninh diocese on May 17.
Joining the delegation included Secretary of Bac Ninh provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council Nguyễn Nhân Chiến.
During the welcoming reception, Minister of Public Security Tô Lâm extended best wishes to Bishop General Secretary Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam Cosme Hoàng Văn Đạt and called on Catholic dignitaries to further encourage local Catholic followers to proactively take part in local movements for social-economic development in the locality. He also urged Bac Ninh diocese to encourage Catholics to proactively join in the election of members of the National Assembly and People’s Council for the 2016-2021 tenure to be held on May 22.
