Da Nang city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) held a conference on April 25 for disseminating the Belief and Religion Law to religious dignitaries and deacons in the city.
Attending the conference included Vice President of the VFF Central Committee Lê Bá Trình, Chairwoman of the city’s VFF Committee Đặng Thị Kim Liên and about 200 dignitaries and deacons of religions in Da Nang city.
The Law on Belief and Religion was adopted last November by the 14th National Assembly at its second session. The new law with 09 chapters and 68 articles, will officially take effect on January 1, 2018.
It is the highest legal document on belief and religion in Vietnam, enacted with the aim to institutionalize the Party's guideline and the 2013 Constitution’s articles on protecting the right to freedom of belief and religion for people, as well as overcome limitations in the State administration on religious affairs and improve the legal system of belief and religion in Vietnam.
