Key religious followers from 7th Military region attend training conference on security, defense knowledge

Over 100 religious dignitaries, deacons and representatives of religious organizations in the 7th Military region have attended a conference on knowledge of security and defense held on July 18-20 in Lam Dong province’s Da Lat city.
The disseminating event was co-organized by the Central Security and Defense Education Council in collaboration with the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA).
Attending the event’s opening ceremony included Vice Chairman of the GCRA Dương Ngọc Tấn, Major General Head of the Department of Civil Defense and Militia Forces under the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army Nguyễn Duy Nguyên, local authorities’ representatives, and religious clergies from provinces of Lam Dong, Đăk Nong, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc and Ho Chi Minh City.
Speaking at the conference, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn highly valued contributions by religious organizations and followers, as well as urged them to raise their awareness of responsibility in encouraging followers to make practical contributions to the cause of building and defending the country.
