On June 12, Vice Chairman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Quang Binh province Hoàng Văn Minh led a delegation at a meeting with the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs on the implementation of the Government’s Decree 92 on detailing and providing measures for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion.
The meeting focused on discussion of the religious life and the implementation of the Government’s Decree 92 since its enactment in 2012.
As accessed at the meeting, the provincial religious committee has worked closely and effectively with concerning authorities and religious organizations for dissemination of the Decree 92 and meeting religious needs of religious organizations in the province including granting of use land right certificates and building of worshipping places in accordance with the religious Charter and State laws.
Currently, Quang Binh province has 32 Catholic parishes and 94 Catholic communities with 97 worshipping places and 12 Buddhist establishments.
