Hoi An city authorities held a seminar with 100 delegates including shamans for the deceased and representatives of religions, funeral service establishments and bands on March 12.
The workshop aimed to gather comments on funeral rituals for building civilized lifestyles around the issue. During the seminar, delegates urged the dead to be buried or cremated no later than three days after death. Shamans and fortune tellers also condemned bad habits and called people to avoid the influence of votives and fanfare.
