Hoa Binh province: State administration on religious affairs in Lac Son district inspected

On November 27, a delegation of Hoa Binh provincial authorities led by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party’s Committee cum Chairman of the provincial Religious Steering Committee Trần Đăng Ninh conducted inspection of the State administration on religious affairs in Hoa Binh province’s Lac Son district.
During the inspection meeting with the district’s authorities, representatives from the Division of Home Affairs and Division of National Resources and Environment of Lac Son district informed the delegation of difficulties and remaining issues in the State governance on religious affairs in the locality, such as lack of personnel in the local State administration on religious affairs, arbitrary construction of Buddhist worshipping places in families’ land …
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Trần Đăng Ninh praised efforts of Lac Son district’s authorities in construction of infrastructures, welfare and development projects in religious localities. He also urged local authorities to focus on disseminating the State policies and laws on religion to local officials and people for ensuring its effective implementation, contributing to local social-economic development…
Currently, most of religious followers in Lac Son district belong to Catholicism and Buddhism, with over 2,600 Catholics and about 700 Buddhists in nine communes and towns of the district.
