Venerable Thích Duy Trấn, Abbot of the pagoda welcomed the delegation of Ho Chi Minh City authorities.

At the visiting reception, Secretary Đinh La Thăng spoke highly of the pagoda’s social and charitable activities, fruitfully encouraging Buddhists not to use joss paper and instead save money for helping the poor.

“The City Party Committee highly respects the pagoda’s activities for a better social and religious life. I hope that Lien Hoa Pagoda and Buddhists will make more social and charitable contributions” said the Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City.

The delegation also took the chance to offer incense to the Buddha in the main worshipping hall of the pagoda.
