Ho Chi Minh city: Contest on ethnic, religious affairs held for women

The municipal  Vietnam Women’s Union  (VWU) in Ho Chi Minh city  held  on August 1st a competition on ethnic and  religious affairs for its members.

Members of the participating teams were ethnic and religious women in Ho Chi Minh city’s 24 districts.

The competition contents focused on how to encourage ethnic, religious women to participate in movements and activities of the local Women’s Union,  and understanding of laws on gender equality, marriage and family, domestic violence prevention, as well as the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, ect.

For the final contest result, the first prize went to District 4’s VWU, the second prize was awarded to  the VWU in the districts of Binh Thanh and Can Gio and third prize was presented to District 6 and District 9’s VWU./.
