Health insurance cards granted to Catholics affected by marine environmental incident in Quang Binh

To implement a Prime Minister’s instruction issued on January 6, 2017, Quang Binh province’s Ba Don town Social Insurance presented social insurance cards in late June and early July to nine communes with 48 villages and residential areas in the district. 

Quang Phuc ward in Ba Don town, a coastal area on the mouth of Gianh river, has the largest number of affected families with 1,600 households and nearly 5,800 people offered health insurance cards.

Currently, Most of residents in Quang Phuc ward are followers of Catholicism with 1,893 Catholic households and 8,644 people under two parishes of Da Sa and Tan My.
