On April 26, a delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC)’s authorities paid a visit to the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS)’s Chapter on occasion of the Buddha’s Birthday celebration 2017 (B.E. 2561).
The delegation led by Deputy Secretary of HCMC’s Party Committee Tất Thành Cang was welcomed by Deputy Patriarch of the VBS’s Discernment Council Thích Trí Quảng.
During the visiting reception, while extending best wishes to the city Buddhist Chapter on the Vesak celebration 2017, Mr. Tất Thành Cang spoke highly of practical contributions by local Buddhists to socio-economic development of the city.
In the same day, Deputy Secretary Tất Thành Cang visited and extended Vesak greetings to Most Venerable Deputy Patriarch of the VBS Central’s Discernment Council Thích Đức Nghiệp and Most Venerable Deputy Chief Secretary of the VBS’s Discernment Council Thích Hiển Tu.
