HCM City will hold many activities on April 6 to commemorate the death anniversary of the Hùng Kings, known as the nation’s founders.
Officials from the city’s Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee and Fatherland Front Committee will take part in incense-offering rituals at the Hùng Kings memorial area in District 9’s Long Bình Ward.
The Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism has prepared music and martial arts performances.
Followed the main ceremony in District 9, Suoi Tien, Dam Sen and Tao Dan parks will hold events for visitors to pay tribute to the Hùng Kings.
A traditional camp, arranged by the Historical and Cultural Park, Youth Union and other authorities, will also be held for the ninth time. It will include a book fair, martial art performances and folk games, among others.
The death anniversary of the nation’s founders is one of the country’s official holidays.
