On October 21st, 2014, at the Ethnic School in Hau Giang province, the Southwest Steering Committee in collaboration with the provincial Party Committee held a propaganda meeting for ethnic and religious people 2014.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Hà Hữu Liền, Director of Department of Religious and Ethnic Affairs under the Southwest Steering Committee, representatives from the local authorities and 150 ethnic and religious people.
At the meeting, delegates listened to briefings on the history, religious and ethnic situation in the Mekong Delta region, guidelines and policies of the Party and State’s law on religion and ethnic minorities, with purpose of promoting national unity and socio – economic development in the locality.
