Welcoming the delegation were Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu, Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Executive Council; Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhã, Vice Chairman of the VBS’s Central Committee for Rituals and Ceremonies; Venerable Thích Thanh Điện, Vice Chairman of Central Buddhist Guidance Committee; Venerable Thích Đức Thiện, Deputy General Secretary cum Chief of VBS’s Office I and other dignitaries of VBS’ Executive Council.

At the reception, Major- General Tô Lâm sent best wishes to Buddhist dignitaries of VBS on the Buddhist Parents Day Festival 2014.

Most Venerable Thích Thanh Nhiễu on behaft of the VBS’s Executive Council expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Public Security for their coordination in Buddhist affairs and said that the Buddhist dignitaries and followers always strive to keep good faith and serve humanity contributing to bring peace and happiness life to everyone. He added that VBS would continue to encourage and guide dignitaries and followers for actively fulfilling civic responsibility, well implementing the Ordinance on Belief and Religious as well as promoting the Buddhist tradition of close attachment to the nation.
