Hanoi city authorities disseminate religious laws to Buddhist dignitaries

The Hanoi Justice Department in collaboration with Hanoi city Committee for Religious Affairs held a meeting for dissemination of laws to Buddhist dignitaries on June 28 at Bo De Pagoda Retreat school.

Attending the workshop were Deputy Director of Hanoi Justice Department Hồ Xuân Hương and about 400 Buddhist monks and nuns in the city’s districts of Long Bien and Gia Lam.

During the event, participating Buddhists heard about the State’s policies and laws on belief and religion, including Decree No.92/2012/NĐ-CP dated 8/11/2012 of Government detailing and providing measures for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Joint Circular No. 04/2014/TTLT-BVHTTDL-BNV dated May 30th, 2014 of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ministry of Home Affairs promotion of civilized life-styles in belief-related and religious establishments and administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion.

So far, Hanoi Justice Department, in collaboration with the city Committee for Religious Affairs, has organized two law-dissemination conferences for religious clergies in the city in 2016.
