Vice-Chairman of Ha Tinh provincial People’s Committee Lê Đình Sơn visited Vinh diocese on Dec. 3 on occasion of 137th founding anniversary of Xa Doai Seminary, 25th founding anniversary of Vinh Thanh Grand Seminary and the completion of its renovation.
During the visit, Vice-Chairman Lê Đình Sơn extended best wishes to Catholics in the diocese and seminarians of Vinh Thanh Seminary in particular and said he highly appreciated the fine relationship between the diocese and local authorities.
Vice Chairman Lê Đinh Sơn also expressed his hope that under leadership and guidance of dignitaries, Catholic followers in the diocese will well observe policies and laws of the Sate and actively participate in movements for the prosperity and stability in the province.
On behalf of diocese, Auxiliary Bishop Nguyễn Văn Viên thanked local authorities for favorable conditions created to the diocese over the past time and pledged to foster a close coordination with local authorities in order to ensure social cohesion and socio-economic development in the locality.
