Ha Tinh province: Ky Anh district reviews implementation of Party resolution on religious affairs

Ky Anh district Party Committee has held a conference for reviewing the implementation of Resolution 25 of the 9th Party Central Committee on religious affairs.

According to a recent report, Ky Anh district has over 16,000 followers of Catholicism and Buddhism, accounting for 10.85% of the total district’s population, with 16 churches and 5 pagodas.

At the conference, delegates assessed that during ten years implementing the Resolution 25, the district authorities focused on dissemination of the Resolution to all Party’s members, local officials, religious dignitaries and followers in order to ensure a consistent implementation of state governance on religious affairs in the district.

The grasping of the Party Resolution has resulted in positive changes in both understanding and implementation of State governance of religious affairs:  Religious needs of dignitaries and followers in Ky Anh district have been better respected and ensured; religious activities have been conducted in accordance with the laws; religious people in the district have proactively taken part in poverty reduction programs and movements for local socio-economic development…

During the reviewing conference, the district Party Committee presented a certificate of merit to organizations and individuals for recognition of their outstanding achievements in implementing the Party resolution on religious affairs./.
