Ha Tinh provincial Committee for Religious Affairs organized a conference for dissemination of religious laws and the law on election of the National Assembly’s deputies and members of People’s Councils to key Buddhist followers in the locality on May 9.
The disseminating event was organized in collaboration with Ha Tinh provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha Executive Committee.
Attending the conference included Director of Legislation and Inspection Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Khắc Huy, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Bùi Nhân Sâm and about 200 Buddhist monks, nuns and followers in the locality.
During the one-day conference, participating Buddhists learn the current laws on election of the National Assembly’s deputies and members of People’s Councils, preparation work for the upcoming election for 2016-2021 tenure as well as State policies and laws on religion.
