Can Loc district authorities held a Christmas meeting with the Pastoral Council of parishes, communes and outstanding elderly Catholics in the locality on December 17.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Bùi Huy Cường, Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee; Mr. Hoàng Đình Trung, Chairman of the district Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and representatives of local authorities.
At the meeting, the Vice Chairman reported results of the district’s achievements in 2014, praised efforts made by Catholics for implementing the patriotic movement. He also extended Christmas wishes to Catholics and expressed his hope that the Pastoral Council of parishes, congregations and Catholics in the locality would continue to encourage Catholic followers to live for “better secular and religious life” and make practical contributions to socio-economic development in the locality.
On this occasion, the Can Loc district People’s Committee presented certificates of merit to 8 organizations and 11 individuals for their outstanding achievement in the patriotic movement and socio-economic development 2014.
