A legal workshop for officials tasked with religious affairs in Thanh Hoa province’s Muong Lat district was held on April 16.

The event organized by the Government Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs and Muong Lat district People’s Committee, and attended by about 120 district and commune level officials in charge of religious affairs in the district.

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Thanh Hà, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Bùi Hải Vinh and Chairman of the district People’s Committee Cao Văn Cường attended the opening ceremony of the workshop.

The event covered key contents of current policies and laws on religion in general and Protestantism in particular, and guided the state administration on Protestantism according to the Law on Belief and Religion. Workshop participants also engaged in discussion of practical issues relating Protestant practices in the province.

Later, a workshop on practices of Protestantism according to the law on belief and religion for key followers of Protestant congregations in the province also was held on April 17-18 in Muong Lat district.
