Government Religious Committee extends Tet greetings to Hanoi Archdiocese

Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn paid a Tet visit to Hanoi Archdiocese on Feb. 3.

Receiving the GCRA leader were Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn and priests in the archdiocese.

Speaking at the reception, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn wished the Cardinal, dignitaries and followers in the Archdiocese a peaceful, prosperous New Year 2015 and congratulated Cardinal Nguyễn Văn Nhơn on his cardinal elevation by Pope Francis to take place on Feb. 14. He also highlighted contributions made by Catholics in the archdiocese to socio-economic development of the country.

Cardinal Peter Nguyễn Văn Nhơn took the chance to thank the GCRA and conveyed his best wishes to leaders and officials of the GCRA on occasion of the traditional Tet festival.

        On the same day, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn visited and extended Traditional New Year wishes to Auxiliary Bishop Lawrence Chu Văn Minh of Ha Noi Archdiocese. He expressed his hope that the Bishop would continue to encourage Catholic in the archdiocese for making practical contributions to the development of the locality.
