The conference was chaired by Mr. Lữ Ngọc Cư, Member of the Southwest Steering Committee; Mr. Phạm Đình Thu, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of the provincial People’s Council; Mr. Dương Văn Trang, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee and representatives of provincial agencies and authorities of districts.

At the conference, delegates assessed that during ten years implementing the Resolution 25, Gia Lai provincial authorities concentrated on dissemination of the Resolution to all Party’s members, local officials, religious dignitaries and followers in order to ensure a consistent implementation in the province. As a result, religious needs of dignitaries and followers have been better respected and ensured, including the holding of religious events, appointment and transfer of dignitaries, establishment of new grassroots religious organizations and building of religious worshipping facilities. In addition, religious people in the locality have more proactively taken part in poverty reduction programs and movements for local socio-economic development.

During the reviewing conference, 23 organizations and 16 individuals were awarded the certificate of merit by the Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee for their outstanding achievements in implementing the Party resolution on religious affairs./.
