Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn attended a ceremony on June 4 for congratulating Prof. Dr. Head of Vietnam Belief Culture Research and Preservation Center Ngô Đức Thịnh on his reception of the State award on literature and arts.
Attending the ceremony held at Luu Phai temple in Hanoi city by Vietnam Belief Culture Research and Preservation Center also included Vice Chairwoman of the National Assembly Committee for Culture, Education, Youth, Adolescents and Children Hoàng Thị Hoa, mediums from Mother Goddess worship clubs from the provinces and cities.
Prof. Dr. Ngô Đức Thịnh was amongst 113 authors conferred the Ho Chi Minh Awards and the State Awards on literature and arts at a ceremony held on May 20 in Hanoi.
Speaking at the event, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn spoke highly of practical contributions on preservation the Mother Goddess worship by Prof. Dr. Ngô Đức Thịnh over the past time. He also shared current State policies on belief, especially Mother Goddess worship that has been recognized by UNESCO as Part of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
During the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Ngô Đức Thịnh presented copies of a book on Mother Goddess worship to participating delegates, and folk artists Nguyễn Tiến Nghĩa and Nguyễn Kim Loan performed typical sessions of Mother Goddess worship.
