On occasion of the 90th anniversary of Vietnam’s Revolutionary Press Day, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Dương Ngọc Tấn on June 19 led a delegation to visit and celebrate the event with the Information and Communication Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha and Vietnamese Catholics Newspaper.
Joining the delegation included Director of the Information Centre Ngô Mạnh Hùng, Acting Editor of the Religious Affairs Magazine Nguyễn Công Huyên and journalists from the GCRA.
Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Head of the Information and Communication Committee cum Editor of the Buddhist Research Magazine welcomed the GCRA delegation at Lien Phai pagoda.
Receiving the GCRA delegation at the headquarters of the Vietnamese Catholics Newspaper was its Editor Vũ Thành Nam.
Speaking at the visiting receptions, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn extended best wishes to Most Venerable Thích Gia Quang, Editor Vũ Thành Nam, journalists from the VBS Information and Communication Committee and Vietnamese Catholics Newspaper. He also praised contributions of religions’ press to the promotion of fine religious values, the building of national unity bloc, dissemination of Party, State policies and laws in general and the religious policies and law in particular, to followers of religions in Vietnam as well as people overseas.
