The Secretariat Members of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union organized in Hanoi on August 18 a forum with the title “I love my fatherland” for youths from ethnic minority groups and different religions.
Attending the forum included Vice President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Vũ Trọng Kim, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn, representatives from the central agencies, Secretariat members of Youth Union’s Central Committee, religious dignitaries and nearly 100 youths from ethnic minority groups and different religions.
The forum provided an opportunity for the youth to review the traditions and affirm roles and great contributions by ethnic minorities and religious people to the history of building and defending the country. The forum also contributed to enhance understanding of current context, status and tasks of the socio-economic development of the country, opportunities and challenges for youths in the current period.
Speaking at the forum, Vice Chairman of the GCRA highly valued outstanding achievements of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee and Vietnam Youth Union. He also stated that the GCRA would continue to closely work with concerned ministries and central agencies including the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union’s Central Committee and Vietnam Youth Union, in the coming time.
