The even was held by the city Committee for Religious Affairs in collaboration with the Department of Culture, Sport and Tourism with the aim to implement the city authorities’ directives on ensuring practices of Mother Goddess worship conducted in civilized manners.

The forum was co-chaired by Vice Chairman of the city’s religious committee Ngô Khôi and Vice Chairman of the city’s committee of culture, sport and tourism Nguyễn Hữu Chiến, and representatives of local authorities.

The forum focused on exchanges of solutions for remaining issues relating to the practice of Mother Goddess worship, both at practitioners’ home and places of this worship, in order to limit and prevent use of joss papers, gambling, begging and superstitious activities, etc.
