Dong Thap province: Traditional Lunar New Year meeting with religious dignitaries and deacons

On the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year and the 85th anniversary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Dong Thap provincial authorities held a meeting with dignitaries and deacons of religions on February 6 in Cao Lanh city.
Speaking at this event, Dong Thap provincial leaders extended Tet wishes to religious dignitaries and briefed the socio- economic, ethnic, religious situation in 2014. They also acknowledged important contributions made by dignitaries, deacons and followers of religions to the provincial socio-economic development and the national unity block.
The provincial authorities pledged to continue creating favorable conditions for religious practices conducted in accordance with the religious Charters and operating guidelines recognized by the State.
