Dong Thap province: “All people protect national security” movement promoted in Buddhist community

On November 18, Thanh Binh district’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Dong Thap province in collaboration with the district’s Public Security disseminated and launched the movement “All people protect national security” at the gathering with 120 Buddhists in Nam An pagoda.
During the event, participants learnt to the Constitution 2013, Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Decree No. 92/2012/2013/NĐ-CP dated 8/11/2012 of Government detailing and providing measures for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, and current crime situation in the locality such as robbery, resisting officials on duty, rape, theft of property, social evils and traffic accidents…
The event aimed to encourage Buddhists to comply with laws, participate in crime prevention, raise awareness on the harmful effects of drugs use and promote traffic safety.
