On September 11th, 2014, the Standing Board of provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Dong Thap province in collaboration with local authorities held a meeting with dignitaries, deacons and followers of religions 2014 in Dong Thap province.
Attending the meeting were Mr. Lê Minh Hoan, Secretary of Dong Thap provincial Party Committee; Mr. Hà Hữu Liền, Director of Department of Ethnic – Religious Affairs under the Southwest Steeing Committee; representatives from local authorities and more than 120 dignitaries, deacons and followers of religions.
The participants heard about the socio- economic, ethnic, religious situation in Southwest region; brief history of development in the Southwestern region; the Party and State’ policy of great all-nation unity bloc. In addition, the participants also were informed about the East Sea situation in recent time.
The meeting has contributed to highlight and promote the power of the great all-nation unity bloc amongst dignitaries, deacons, followers of religions in the national construction and defense. At the same time, it also recognized contributions made by dignitaries, deacons and followers of religions for provincial socio- economic development./.
