On July 30, Vice Chairman of Dong Nai provincial Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Quốc Vũ led a delegation to visit the Khmer Theravada Buddhist retreat school at Phuoc Son Buddhist monastery.
Venerable Abbot of Phuoc Son Buddhist monastery Thích Bửu Chánh, Buddhist dignitaries and followers at the school welcomed the delegation.
At the visiting meeting, Venerable Thích Bửu Chánh informed the Buddhist summer retreat 2016 in Dong Nai province. According to the Venerable, there are 500 Buddhist pagodas and monasteries in the locality including 23 pagodas belong to Theravada Buddhism and two Khmer pagodas.
The Buddhist summer retreat 2016 in the province is being held in nine places with 400 Buddhist monks and nuns attending the summer retreat course in Phuoc Son monastery.
