On July 13, Thai Binh provincial Department of Home Affairs and Vu Thu district’s People’s Committee in the province co-organized a disseminating conference on religious laws for nearly 100 Catholic dignitaries and deacons in the district.
Contents covered during the conference included key points of the Law on Belief and Religion passed by the 14th National Assembly at its second session and other State’s policies and laws related to religious practices.
The conference also provided a discussion of practical issues raised by participating Catholics, including religious practices at Catholic establishments in the district.
Currently, Vu Thu district in Thai Binh province is home to 15,000 Catholic followers with 12 parishes and 37 sub-parishes.
