On April 20-21, Thua Thien Hue provincial Committee for Religious Affairs held a meeting for dissemination of the new law on belief and religion to religious dignitaries, deacons in the locality.
Attending the workshop were Former Director of Legislation and Inspection Department under the Government Committee for Religious Affairs Nguyễn Khắc Huy, Vice Chairman of the provincial Party Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilization Nguyễn Thanh Lẫm and over 130 dignitaries and deacons of religious organizations in the province.
During the event, Mr. Nguyễn Khắc Huy introduced new contents of the Law on belief and religion passed in November last year.
Currently, 60 % of the population in Thua Thien Hue are followers of recognized religious organizations of Buddhism, Catholicism, Protestantism and Caodaism, and other folk beliefs.
