According to the history, Da Quan pagoda was built in the early 17th century for worshiping Mạc Ngọc Liễn - a famous general of the Mac dynasty.

The pagoda currently preserves two great bells carved with a poem in old Chinese depicting the region beauty under the Mac dynasty. These two bells were recognized as National Treasure by the central government in 2016.
