Legal documents and local regulation on religious affairs were circulated to Buddhists in Da Nang city at a meeting held on Nov. 23.
The meeting was co-organized by Da Nang Committee for Religious Affairs and the provincial Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) Executive Committee.
Local authorities at the meeting included Mr. Ngô Khôi, Chairman of the provincial Committee for Religious Affairs, Mr. Nguyễn Điểu, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment and representatives from the local authorities.
The meeting was joint by members of the local VBS Executive Boards, abbots of pagodas and over 600 dignitaries, deacons and religious in the locality.
At the meeting, Buddhist participants learnt about the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Government Decree No. 92/2012/ND-CP provided for the implementation of the Ordinance on Belief and Religion, Circular No.01/2013 of Ministry of Home Affairs on the use of forms of administrative procedures in the field of belief and religion, and guidelines of Da nang city People’s Committee on religious affairs./.
