Secretary of Da Nang City’s Party Committee Trương Quang Nghĩa led on February 21 a delegation of the city authorities to visit to Con Dau parish on occasion of Lunar New Year Festival (Tet).
Priest of the parish Joseph Nguyễn Thanh Sơn welcomed the delegation.
During the visit, while extending Tet greetings to the priest and parishioners of the parish, Secretary Trương Quang Nghĩa presented the parish with a proposed plan to keep Con Dau Parish Church as a relic site and a sightseeing highlight in Cam Le district’s Hoa Xuan ward.
The secretary stated that the city authorities would execute the proposed plan if Con Dau Parish supports it.
Priest Joseph Nguyễn Thanh Sơn thanked to the municipal authorities for the proposed plan and said that it will be submitted to the bishop of Da Nang diocese for comments.
