On the occasion of the upcoming Christmas holiday, Secretary of the Da Nang city’s Party Committee Nguyễn Xuân Anh led a delegation to visit local Christian organizations in the city on December 19.
The delegation included Chairman of the city’s People Committee Huỳnh Đức Thơ, Chairman of the city’s Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee Đặng Thị Kim Liên and Chairman of the city’s Committee for Religious Affairs Ngô Khôi.
At the Da Nang Diocese’s Cathedral, while extending Christmas wishes to Bishop Joseph Đặng Đức Ngân and Catholics in the Diocese, Secretary Nguyễn Xuân Anh praised Catholic dignitaries and followers for their contributions to socio-economic development in the city over the past year.
At visiting places of the United World Mission Church and the Representative Committee of the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South) in Da Nang city, the city’s Secretary also encouraged local Protestants to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements launched by the local authorities, contributing to build a prosperous and civilized city of Da Nang.
