Da Nang city authorities held on February 6 a meeting with religious dignitaries from religious organizations in the city ahead of the Lunar New Year 2018.
The event taking place in Da Nang City Administration Center saw the attendance of Standing Deputy Secretary of Da Nang city Party Committee Võ Công Trí, Chairman of the city People’s Committee Huỳnh Đức Thơ, representatives of the municipal departments and agencies, and about 200 dignitaries from religious organizations in the city.
During the meeting, while informing the religious participants results of socio-economic development in the city in 2017, Standing Deputy Secretary Võ Công Trí praised contributions made by religious dignitaries, deacons and followers in the locality over the past years. The Deputy Secretary took the chance to extend Tet greetings to all local followers of religions and expressed hope that local religious organizations would continue upholding fine traditions and actively participate in social movements for the sustainable development of the city.
