CRCA hands over registration certificate to Salesians of Vietnam Don Bosco

On Sept. 15, Vice Chairman of the Government Committee for Religious Affairs (GCRA) Dương Ngọc Tấn presented the registration certificate to the Salesians of Vietnam Don Bosco at its headquarters in Ho Chi Minh city.

The Vietnam Don Bosco was established in 1952. Its purpose of operation included provision of education to young people, especially orphans and abandoned children through vocational trainings, organization of cultural, sports and charitable activities. Currently, the Order has many congregations in provinces and cities, including Ho Chi Minh city, Dong Nai, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Ha Tinh…

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Dương Ngọc Tấn spoke highly of practical activities made by the Catholic order over the past year, in providing education and support to poor children and orphans.

On behalf of the Order, Priest Director of the provincial Don Bosco Order Nguyễn Văn Quang expressed his thanks to the GCRA and authorities at all levels for favorable conditions extended to the Order. He also pledged that the Order would continue to engage in pastoral activities for providing care to poor children and orphans in the whole country.
