Con Ket village where all residents are followers of Catholicism in Quang Binh province’s Ba Don town received a boat valued at VND 90 million on May 12 for ferrying local pupils to school.
The construction of the boat is supported by Ba Don Youth Union in collaboration with the Youth Union of the central financial-banking sector in the country.
In addition to the boat, 20 lifejackets, 20 studying lights and 250 water bottles were also presented to pupils and students in Con Ket village.
Con Ket village is an islet in Gianh River under Quang Thuan commune and home to 59 Catholic households with 250 people.
