Cao Bang province: Northwest Steering Committee leader inspects implementation of policy on Protestantism

Vice Chairwoman of the Northwest Steering Committee Hoàng Thị Hạnh led a delegation to meet with Cao Bang provincial People’s Committee on May 26 for reviewing ten-year implementation of Directive 01/2005/CT-TTg on some tasks regarding Protestantism.
Attending the meeting were Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Trần Hùng and representatives from related local departments and agencies.
As reported at the meeting, during ten years implementing Directive 01/2005/CT-TTg, the understanding by Party members, officials and local people on Protestantism and some tasks regarding Protestantism have been improved and strengthened. Most of religious dignitaries and followers have committed to comply with policies of the Party and State on religion in general and Protestantism in particularly.
The meeting also discussed on religious activities of the Protestant chapters and meeting groups, registration of Protestant meeting places…
