From December 15-23, a delegation of Ca Mau provincial government paid Christmas visits to Christian organizations in the locality.
At the visiting receptions, the delegation extended best wishes to dignitaries and followers of Catholicism and Protestantism, and encouraged Catholics and Protestants to actively participate in social, charitable activities and patriotic emulation movements launched by the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and local authorities.
It’s reported that Ca Mau province is home to about 38,000 Christians, including over 32,000 Catholics, and remaining followers belonging to the Evangelical Church of Vietnam (South), Vietnam Baptist Church (Southern) and the Vietnam Christian Fellowship Church.
The province has 19 Catholic churches and 20 Catholic communities; 08 Protestant churches and 35 Protestant congregations.
